Terms & Conditions of Sale
Effective date: 01/09/2026 Last updated: 01/09/2026
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order through www.gut.beer you agree to these terms.
3.1 About us
www.gut.beer is operated by Güt Beer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16525533, registered office Great Killough, Llantilio Crossenny, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire (UK) NP7 8SR. You can contact us at [email protected] or 01600 780206.
3.2 Age restriction — you must be 18 or over
It is against the law to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that:
you are aged 18 or over;
the person receiving the delivery is aged 18 or over; and
you are buying alcohol for someone aged 18 or over.
We operate a Challenge 25 policy. We may ask for proof of age at the point of sale and our delivery partners will ask for proof of age on delivery. If anyone receiving the order appears to be under 25 and cannot provide valid photo ID (such as a passport, photocard driving licence or PASS-marked card), we will not complete the delivery. We will not leave alcohol with anyone who is, or appears to be, under 18, or with anyone who is intoxicated, and we will not leave it unattended. It is a criminal offence to buy or attempt to buy alcohol on behalf of someone under 18.
3.3 How a contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. All orders are subject to acceptance and to stock and age-verification checks. We will send an acknowledgement email when you place an order, but this does not mean we have accepted it. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched (or, for pre-orders, that it is being fulfilled). If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and will not charge you, or will refund any payment taken.
3.4 Our products
We currently offer:
Güt Beer Table Beer — 2.9% ABV
Güt Beer Low-Alcohol — 0.5% ABV
Both are beers brewed with live cultures and sold in 330ml cans in packs of 12. We take care to describe and picture our products accurately, but images are for illustration and packaging or labelling may vary. For allergen information, please see our Allergen Statement and the product labelling. The products contain cereals that contain gluten (barley and wheat).
3.5 Pre-orders
Some products may be offered on a pre-order basis before stock is available to ship. Where you place a pre-order:
we will show an estimated dispatch or delivery date, which is an estimate and may change;
we will tell you when we take payment (either at the time of the pre-order or when your order is dispatched — Dev note: confirm which applies); and
you may cancel a pre-order at any time before dispatch for a full refund by contacting us at [email protected].
Your statutory cancellation rights (see our Refund & Returns Policy) also apply once the goods are delivered.
3.6 Price and payment
Prices are shown on the website in pounds sterling and include VAT and alcohol duty where applicable. Delivery charges are shown separately before you complete your order. We try to ensure prices are correct, but if we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will contact you and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel.
We accept bank transfers, credit or debit cards. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By submitting an order you confirm that the payment details are yours or that you are authorised to use them.
3.7 Delivery
We currently deliver to UK mainland addresses only. We do not deliver to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands or any areas outside the United Kingdom.
Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and are estimates only.
An adult aged 18 or over must be present to receive the delivery and may be asked to show proof of age (see section 3.2).
Because these are age-restricted goods, our couriers will not leave orders unattended, with a neighbour, or in a safe place unless age can be verified in line with our Challenge 25 policy.
If delivery cannot be completed because no eligible adult is available or proof of age cannot be provided, the courier may make a further attempt or return the order to us. We may charge a reasonable re-delivery cost, or refund the price of the goods less our delivery and return costs, and we will tell you if this applies.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered.
3.8 Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel, return and obtain a refund are set out in our separate Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
3.9 Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
We want you to be happy with your order. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] — see our Refund & Returns Policy for how we will put things right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
3.10 Our right to cancel or limit orders
We may cancel or refuse an order, or limit the quantity of products you can buy, if: we cannot verify that you are 18 or over; we reasonably suspect the order breaches these terms or is for resale; the product is out of stock; there has been a pricing or description error; or we are unable to deliver to your address. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
3.11 Our liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under law. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
3.12 Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply failures, extreme weather, strikes and transport disruption. If such an event occurs we will contact you and, where appropriate, extend delivery times or allow you to cancel and receive a refund for goods not delivered.
3.13 Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to resolve it.
3.14 General
We may update these terms from time to time; the version that applies to your order is the one in force when you placed it. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
